Indian extremists once again got in the way of “peace” and “unison” they stand for. What a joke. Right? Just recently, another testament of Indian hatred towards Pakistan was proved through vandalism on an ad film set. The hooliganism was done because the set was being used to shoot for an advertisement, recreating Pakistan.

A Mumbai-based production house was shooting for a TV commercial for Volkswagen Polo in Chandni Chowk near City Palace, for which they had to put up Urdu sign boards. The signs boards were depicting Pakistan, reading: “Lahore Sweets,” “Welcome To Lahore,” and “Karachi Chai Wala”. Apart from these, there were various other sign boards with Urdu words written on them too.

Named as Darohar Bachao Samiti, 40 members of this outfit destroyed the banners and vandalized the set. One member of the extremist group stated the reason as hurting religious sentiments:

“They had permission but that does not mean they will put up banners above Anand Krishna Bihari temple and Brij Nidhi temple. It was not a short film or advertisement film. So, we talked to the crew members and asked them to discontinue the shooting.”

Well Indians really need to think where they are heading with their religion, nationality, or their hatred for Pakistan.

Fawad Khan along with other Pakistani actors has been banned entry to India, for how long that we don’t know, but he still has a place in hearts of many. There is no doubt that people in Bollywood, celebrities alike, can’t just get over the charm that our Khan had there. This is why Karan Johar is still all praises for our chocolate boy.

During his media discussion session at London School of Economics, Johar was once again asked if he would be interested in working with Pakistani actors post ban, here’s what he has to say:

Karan Johar answering a question on #FawadKhan.Didn’t like the way he started, liked the way he ended, loved the applause(for Fawad)he receivd pic.twitter.com/vPeu9aJmdK

— Reemz (@FawadFan4ever) April 11, 2017

While he starts his video on a rather negative note, indicating that he won’t be able to work with the boundary less talent due to surroundings (India), but he went all gaga over Fawad Khan:

“I think some of the most exceptional talent comes from Pakistan. And I had the honor and pleasure to actually direct Fawad Khan”

“I have seen his exceptional work and it was immensely brave of him to did what he did in Kapoor & Sons.

“I think after 6 actors had said no to that role, it was tremendously courageous of him to say ‘yes’.”

“I wish that our cinema and cinema in general could be exposed to such enormous talent like Fawad Khan.”

It is still evident that India cannot get over the charm, which our actors has left on them. With the talented pool of acting like ours, how could you wish for international celebrities and people across the border to not get mesmerized with it.

Famous Indian T.V actor Sara Khan was recently in Pakistan to shoot for her debut Pakistani drama Bay Khudi alongside Noor Hassan, as well as another Pakistani drama with our very own Atiqa Odho.

However, as soon as she landed to India, rumours sparked that the star was detained in Pakistan, as she extended her visit for two days.

In an interview Sara rubbished the gossip, saying:

“I was told to stay back for my No Objection Certificate (NOC) and I stayed in my five-star hotel not in police custody. I don’t know who is spreading such news. I was not doing anything illegal there. I stayed back to get the NOC.”

Talking about her first working experience in Pakistan, Sara was all praises.

“It’s an honour to do my first Pakistani drama series. In Pakistan, serials and films do not have a demarcation like in India. In fact, the Pakistani TV industry is biggest there. So, I am super excited.”

She further said, “The reason I decided to come to Pakistan was because of the strong content in Pakistani television.”

At the time when hatred is blooming between Indian and Pakistan over several issues, this Pakistani policeman has provided all with a common ground to be proud of.

Pakistan released 218 Indian fisherman yesterday, 06-01-2017, which crossed the border mistakenly yet illegally. This is quite a routine for both countries, as fishermen keep on losing their track due to unruly sea and harsh weather. However, what made this release unique this time was Pakistani policeman’s warm heart and a kindly gesture while bidding farewell to the Indian captives.

Within no time, this policeman has become an internet sensation and has taken the social media by storm. As the fishermen were released for India from Lahore via the Cantonment railway station Karachi, a policeman took a selfie, with several fishermen waving hands behind him. What’s more is that he bid adieu to the fishermen in the most heartwarming way with all the best wishes.

Not only were these fishermen treated nicely but, as per Edhi officials, they were given Rs. 500 and gifts before their journey to Lahore.

Here are the affluent people from across the border who appreciated this gesture:

There is no doubt that such little acts of kindness and warm gestures rule the hearts of people. To some what may seem like a mere selfie, is basically a door towards friendship, unity and prosperity of the region.

Pakistani actress Saba Qamar is receiving death threats and the reason is Irrfan Khan.

At a recent event, Irrfan Khan was asked about his upcoming film ‘Hindi Medium’, which stars Pakistani actress Saba Qamar.

Given the ban on Pakistani artistes, he was questioned about Saba Qamar’s presence in the movie. Irrfan frankly stated, “I think maybe Saba Qamar has married someone here in India. She is an Indian now. I heard it somewhere.”

His statement was meant to be a joke, but has now drawn unwanted attention towards Saba, who is getting death threats now. Those who are threatening her are convinced that she has indeed married an Indian.

Due to the aggression and tension between India and Pakistan, extremists influenced Indian media to ban Pakistani content and artists to enter their country, post URI attacks. This created an uncertain situation and distress among the film fraternity of India, which had spent millions of Rupees on their movies and our artists.

Recently, a Pakistani dark-comedy film, Jeewan Haathi released in our cinemas as a ‘ray of hope’ but it turned out to be a ‘ray of embarrassment’ for the people of Pakistan. When on one hand India banned not only Pakistani content but also denied to entertain our actors, then, why did we entertain an Indian actor in our industry. There is no doubt that Naseeruddin Shah is an amazing veteran artist, but what goes around comes around. If they are treating our brand like Fawad Khan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in an unimpressive manner then we should not oblige their brand in our territory, as well.

We have lot of talented and passionate people who are capable of making good films. The demand of our artists is not just only in India but worldwide. After all these facts, the question that arises is whether we need Indian actors for the survival of Pakistani Cinema? Our talent is no lesser compared to that of India, and we need to acknowledge their efforts and time that they have given to this industry.

Why are we always heading towards amending broken bonds? Is it not the responsibility of the rival neighbours to do so, for a change? But, if we still sign Indian faces, in order to show peace and harmony, forgetting the torture Muslims in Kashmir are still suffering, then we have DIED AS A NATION, for sure!

Haydon, recently, got married with her long-time boyfriend Dino Lalvani in a private wedding in Thailand. But, the stereotypical Indian Newspapers didn’t digest the information well!

DNA India published a lengthy story on cross-border marriages and called Lisa’s new family ‘Pakistanis’, even though they are Indians. They further stated that Lisa is just a misfit for the Indian Industry and there would be no affect on the Indian cinema, if she leaves.

This didn’t sit well with the Indian actress and she took her stance to a series of threads in Twitter;

Actress Priyanka Chopra has spoken up against the ban on the Pakistani artistes in India; in the outcome of Uri attack, saying it is not right that the actors alone have to bear the burden.

Recently, Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India announced that it won’t release films featuring Pakistani artistes in four states– Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Gujarat.

Priyanka was asked about her opinion on the debate, she said, “It’s tricky because first of all artists and actors are always held responsible for every bigger political agenda that happens in our country. Why are only we reflecting it? Why not businesses, why not doctors, why no politicians why not anyone else?”

“Second, I’m extremely patriotic. So, whatever my government decide to keep the country safe, I go with that but at the same time I believe that artists are not responsible for all this, there has not been an actor who has done something to harm someone’s life,” Priyanka said to a media house.

The 34-year-old actress asked that why people are picking on actors instead of fighting the real criminals.

“For an artist, their work is their religion. One cannot hold an artist responsible for their religion. Why are we not picking on someone who has actively done something wrong?”
