Veteran writer Bano Qudsia dies at 88

The wife of legendary writer and novelist Ashfaq Ahmed, Bano Qudsia died at the age of 88, due to illness and health loss. The tremendous writer and spiritualist of Raja Gidh fame spent the last ten years of her life in hospital and in extreme ailment.

Born on November 28, 1998, Bano Qudsia was known for her unique writing style and light way of penning down even the harshest of realities. She became the predominant queen of writing and playwright with her classic ‘Adhi Baat’.

The spiritualist has left behind three sons, and her legacy of the masterpieces created in Urdu. There is no doubt that the pair of Ashfaq Ahmed and Bano Qudsia was a duo of a pearl that created shine with their writing and the power of storytelling.

Qudsia’s dead body has been shifted to her hometown – Model Town, however no details regarding the funeral have been made public yet.

Undoubtedly, we lost a great gem today. The death of Bano Qudsia is an immense loss for this nation and she will always be remembered with her work always in study and consideration. May her soul rest in heaven.
