The 30-year-old boxer Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom opened up about planning to adopt an orphan from Africa after visiting a Gambian orphanage. They recently attended a fundraising concert held at London’s Troxy on Saturday night (April 29) where they revealed their plan.
He told,‘I would love to adopt. I go to a lot of these places.
‘When I was in Africa, I met so many young African kids and I loved them. ‘I wanted to take them back home with me. It’s a bit tougher than that.’
And he said their was one child on his mind, saying: ”There’s one boy that was really good and I said to my friend Riz, I’m going to take him back home. But the process is a lot harder than you think it is.”
The couple is already blessed with a two year old daughter, Lamaisah. This is definitely a very good move by the couple if they are planning to adopt an orphan. We wish them all the best for their future plans.
