Areeba gained popularity from her role in the famous drama serial Jalan alongside Minal Khan, both were sisters but the younger once stole her brother in law, sounds weird doesn’t it? Inspite of a lot of criticism the drama gained immense popularity.
Recently Areeba appeared on the Ahsan Khan show and expressed her disappointment over Jalan drama’s content and said it was not appropriate to show a women burn her self it was definitely not the sort of content that should be displayed or promoted on national TV. The youth and specially women are already facing domestic abuse and depression and such content will make them further lose hope in life.
To sum up I totally agree with Areeba as people watch dramas for entertainment and get their mind off their tensions, on the contrary such content is spreading an air of depression.
