BBC reports over 3000 fake degrees bought by US citizens from Axact

The Pakistani multi-million-pound ‘confirmation process’ Axact has sold a huge number of fake degrees to UK nationals, as per a BBC examination.

NHS experts, medical attendants, and an extensive barrier contractual worker are among the general population that were tricked by the organization. One purchaser spent nearly £500,000 on counterfeit reports.

The Department of Education said that it was taking “conclusive activity to take action against degree extortion” that “tricks honest to goodness students”.

As indicated by the report, Axact, which works from Karachi, cases to be the “world’s biggest IT organization.” However, a New York Times report uncovered its status as an organization that deals with a system of many phony online colleges as a general rule.

More than 3,000 phony Axact online degrees, including Master’s degrees, Doctorates, and PhDs, were sold to UK-based purchasers in 2013 and 2014.

The BBC post stated: “Using a bogus diploma to apply for a job constitutes fraud by misrepresentation under UK laws and could result in a 10-year prison sentence.”

‘Blackmailing People’

A previous FBI operator Allen Ezell, who has been examining Axact since the 1980s, told the BBC that Axact was presently extorting individuals — that had purchased the phony degrees — to gather more cash from them.

“You get a telephone call that looks like it’s coming from your embassy or local law enforcement, threatening to arrest or deport you unless you get some additional documents to help support the phony diploma you already have. We’ve never seen that before,”  he uncovered.

Axact reacted to what they call a “defamatory article” by BBC on their official site.

The article said that Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman, who’s the proprietor of the Jang/Geo Group, has used his contacts inside the global media to push forward his motivation of stigmatizing Axact, which is a parent organization of BOL Network, without giving any considerable confirmation to demonstrate his crazy cases.

The article likewise included realities about the “fake ness and silliness” of the BBC report.
