An FIR has now been lodged against the Indian actor Om Puri in Andheri East police station (Mumbai), for showing his support to Pakistani actors.
According to the Indian government and media, Om Puri passed a statement that was insensitive about the Indian martyrs; which did not go down well with the audience and industry.
Om Puri quoted, “Who had asked the soldiers to join the army? Who told them to pick the weapons?”. He further recommended that India should arrange 15-20 human suicide bombers and send them to Pakistan for the blasts!
As soon as the episode went on air, the internet was swamped with condemnation for Om Puri’s cruel words about those helping the country.
