Project Ghazi delays release to avoid clash with other Pakistani releases!

Team of Project Ghazi took to social media yesterday and announced that their film will not be releasing on 22nd March as scheduled before. They postponed the release by a Week which is a commendable move.

The scif-fi action thriller stars Sheheryar Munawar, Humayun Saeed and Syra Shahroz in lead roles and is Pakistan’s first superhero film. The film has wisely averted clash with two other Pakistani films Laal Kabootar and SherDil.

As tensions increased following Pulwama incident between India and Pakistan, Indian films are temporarily banned in Pakistan. In such conditions, releasing three films on one day appeared to be a suicidal step however Project Ghazi has successfully averted a fiasco and has set an example. They have set a trend by avoiding a cluster on a national Holiday and instead opted for a non Holiday release.

Last year Ali Zafar’s Teefa In Trouble set this example and now team Project Ghazi has taken this mature step and it must be applauded.

Not only has the film done itself a huge favor by benefiting from a solo release, it has also done good for the rest of the two films releasing on 22nd March. The decision positively effects Pakistani Cinema and should be lauded.

Project Ghazi helmed by Nadir Shah and produced by Ali Raza will be distributed by IMGC. The film was earlier slated for a clash with Laal Kabootar and SherDil on 22nd March. The film will now enjoy a solo release on 29th March.
