We talk about equal rights , women empowerment and equal opportunity employment but what we don’t talk about is the basic need which is the need for a safe space!
What Is a Safe Space? A safe space is an environment where girls feel physically and emotionally secure. It is a place where they are protected from bodily harm, including sexual abuse and preventable injuries.
Just the other day my teenage daughter wanted to go to a concert and if though I’m totally into women power and equal rights, I spontaneously said No it’s not safe. Honestly it pierces my heart to accept that we as women and girls are not safe in our own country with our own people. Yes it’s true we can’t let our girls go in public places or crowded events because we can’t trust our men. Isn’t that sad just simply sad!
I really hope things could change for the better and women can easily do what ever the desire & enjoy in their own safe Space without any fear.
